Lost kit

Following on from lost moments, I was reading with interest a thread were a fellow photog inadvertently damaged a lense. This got me to thinking, is my kit covered under my insurance? Is there a maximum value?

I had photographs of the previous kit should the worst happen, when I updated the kit I didn't update these photo's. *note to self* Call Insurance!
